ABSTRACT
The importance this study comes from the fact that Yemen as a part of the huge Islamic world, was always playing a role in the events of the middle ages, and as it is well known that that the Crusade war was not just a military attack on an Islamic state, but it was the biggest political, military, and economic war in the history of the middle ages, targeting the hole Islamic world, therefore Yemen played a main role in supporting their brothers in Egypt and Syria.
This study consist of an introduction and five chapters , the introduction talks about the political situation in the Islamic world in the 12th and 13th century A-D at time of the Crusade invasion.
Chapter one talks about political powers in Yemen, and its political, military, and economic importance in the area.
Chapter two concentrated on the political support from Yemen as part of the Islamic Union under the rule of the Abbasid Caliphate in Baghdad, ending the Fattimid existing in Yemen , also it talks about the support messages between Yemen and Egypt in that period.
Chapter three gives us information's about the financial and military help send from Yemen to Egypt, money, horses, and weapons and military troops.
Chapter four talks about the economic role Yemen played in building an economic Islamic union, using Yemen's important ports and its commercial relations with the Far East countries, especially through the Karimi merchants the masters of medieval commerce.
Chapter five introduces us to a number of Yemeni samples for those who were able to support their brothers in Egypt and Syria, either by word or sword.
Finally there is an attachment that contains a number of messages came from or send to Yemen about its role in supporting Jihad against the Crusaders.
